Description
“Siddhartha” is an exploration of a youth’s journey away from home, which culminates in him completing a quest to find himself. It rejects materialism, as Simons’ preceding shows had staunchly done. The Buddha reputing his father and the ways of a wealthy, sheltered life to discover himself and the truths of the world is similar to the idea of the development of “I” outside of the pre-adapted norms of one’s society, which Simons repeatedly sympathized with throughout his career.
